Where Bequesta Began
Bequesta grew out of a series of informal conversations among Bangkok-based professionals who kept encountering the same situation: families in the city had accumulated decades of important paperwork — property documents, insurance policies, heirloom records — with no clear system for managing it. When a family member fell ill or passed away, the search for documents often added weeks of difficulty to an already hard time.
The founders — a records administrator and an organisational educator with backgrounds in Thailand and the UK — decided that what was missing was not more legal advice, but clear, practical education. People needed to understand what records matter, how to label and store them, and how to make sure the right people know where to look.
Bequesta opened at the Lumphini office in 2019 and has since worked with individuals, couples, and family-run businesses across Bangkok. Every programme we run is designed around the same commitment: share knowledge clearly, never push, and let each participant decide what they do next.
Our Mission
Education, Not Advice
Our mission is straightforward: to give families and businesses in Bangkok a clear, calm place to learn about estate organisation. We do not provide legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. We present information — the same information a thoughtful, experienced administrator would share with a friend — and we let participants take it from there.
We hold ourselves to a high standard of clarity in everything we communicate. If a concept is complex, we work until we can explain it simply. If a term has legal weight, we say so and recommend participants seek qualified help rather than act on our session alone.

Siriporn Phongphan
Co-Founder & Head of Programmes
Siriporn brings fifteen years of records administration experience from the public and private sectors in Thailand. She designs and reviews every Bequesta curriculum for accuracy and accessibility.
James Whitmore
Co-Founder & Facilitator
James spent a decade facilitating organisational education workshops across Southeast Asia before co-founding Bequesta. He leads the family-business programme and writes the facilitation guides.
Napaporn Kittisak
Participant Liaison & Administration
Napaporn coordinates all enquiries, session scheduling, and follow-up communications. She ensures every participant has what they need before and after a session, without any pressure to commit further.

Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Every aspect of how Bequesta operates — from content development to participant communication — follows a set of clear principles.
Content Review Process
All programme materials are reviewed before each cohort to reflect current administrative practices in Thailand. Any content that could be misread as advice is revised or removed.
Participant Data Privacy
We collect only the information needed to process your enrolment and communicate about your session. Participant details are never shared with third parties or used for marketing after your session ends.
Neutral Facilitation
Facilitators are trained to present information and answer factual questions only. They do not make recommendations about what participants should do with their personal records or family affairs.
Accurate, Sourced Materials
Checklists and templates are based on administrative references and common household document categories. We state clearly when information is general and should be verified against an individual's specific circumstances.
No Upselling Policy
Bequesta does not sell follow-on services, referral packages, or affiliate products to participants. Once you complete a programme, any further engagement is entirely at your initiative.
Accessible Language Standard
We test all written and spoken content against a plain-language benchmark before delivery. Technical and legal terms are explained the first time they appear, and a glossary is provided in every programme's materials.
About Our Work
Estate Organisation Education in Bangkok
Bangkok is home to hundreds of thousands of families who hold a complex mix of property documents, financial records, family registrations, and personal papers accumulated over decades. When these records are not organised, small administrative tasks can take days instead of hours, and significant family events can turn into extended documentation searches at the worst possible moment.
Bequesta addresses this by offering structured, educational sessions that walk participants through the categories of records commonly held by Thai families and internationally mixed households alike. The Estate-Organisation Orientation gives a clear picture of what exists and how it is typically managed. The Records & Document Cataloguing Workshop moves into the hands-on work of listing, labelling, and safely storing those documents.
For family businesses — which remain a cornerstone of the Bangkok economy — our Family-Business Continuity Information Programme introduces the conversations that help a company move through leadership changes without losing institutional knowledge or operational continuity. The programme does not touch on ownership or entitlement questions; it focuses on roles, processes, and communication.
All of Bequesta's work sits clearly within the educational sphere. We do not provide professional advice, and we communicate this at every stage. Our role is to give participants the knowledge they need to have better conversations with their families, and — if they choose — to approach qualified professionals with clearer questions and a better understanding of their own situation.
